Random House Children’s Books Acquires Cherry Lake

On Veteran’s Day, Random House Children’s Books announced:

Cherry Lake Publishing Group will join the Random House Children’s Books division while retaining its editorial independence and creative leadership under Mondloch, who will remain with the company.”

As of this writing, the Cherry Lake Submissions page still says:

“We publish a wide range of books, including board books, beginning readers, picture books, and select middle grade titles. We accept both fiction and nonfiction submissions.”

Changes at Little, Brown Books for Young Readers

Friday’s issue of Shelf Awareness had detailed news about Editorial Changes at Little, Brown Books for Young Readers:

“Little, Brown Books for Young Readers has announced changes to its editorial structure, including the launch of a boutique imprint and the establishment of two distinct editorial groups . . . The editorial team will now be divided into two editorial groups, one focused on young readers (0–12) and the other on older readers and upper nonfiction (12+)” (Click here to see more.)
