Changes at Little, Brown Books for Young Readers

Friday’s issue of Shelf Awareness had detailed news about Editorial Changes at Little, Brown Books for Young Readers:

“Little, Brown Books for Young Readers has announced changes to its editorial structure, including the launch of a boutique imprint and the establishment of two distinct editorial groups . . . The editorial team will now be divided into two editorial groups, one focused on young readers (0–12) and the other on older readers and upper nonfiction (12+)” (Click here to see more.)

Dream Jar Publishing Call

The submissions page for Dream Jar Publishing says:

“AUTHORS: We are currently open for a limited submission opportunity. At this time, we are ONLY looking for chapter book or early middle grade stories (no more than 15,000 words) for one of our imprints below. The work must be complete, not a work-in-progress.”

The submissions form says: “We do not read full manuscripts for submissions, only review pitches and synopses. If one captures our attention and interest, we’ll reach out for the full manuscript.”

FYI: The Field of Dreams book announced on the Dream Jar Publishing homepage was co-written by Stacy B. Davids, one of my former students.
