Struggling to write during this pandemic?
You’re not alone. It’s hard to focus with SO much going on.
However, this “shelter in place” life is the “new normal” for all of us now — and will be for many days and weeks to come.
You don’t have to give up your writing. You just need a new plan . . .
I’ve started a private 2020 Writing Pledge Facebook group on my Facebook page. (If you “like” the page, Facebook will allow me to invite you to join the group.)
My goal is to keep us writing until Camp NaNoWriMo begins in April.
Q. What is Camp NaNoWriMo?
A. “Camp NaNoWriMo is a writing event that happens in April and July. It’s different from NaNoWriMo in November because you can work on any type of creative project, not just a novel. First drafts or revision, scripts or stories or poems or essays–all are welcome! Just set a goal and get writing.”
I like to use Camp NaNoWriMo to start a new book as a zero draft.
Can you write 2 pages of thoughts about your book each a day from April 21-31? (Then we can all jump over to Camp NaNoWriMo on April 1 and join the larger community there.)
FYI: Facebook and Camp NaNoWriMo both allow teens to join, so if you know a teen with a book idea, please share the word.
If this new writing plan will work for you, I’d love to connect on Facebook!
Happy writing! Anastasia
