The Lost Puppy (Pet Rescue Adventures)
by Holly Webb (Author) and Sophy Williams (Illustrator)

Booktalk: Christy is thrilled when her aunt’s dachshund has puppies. And her parents have a wonderful surprise-she is going to get to keep one! Christy knows exactly who to pick-the beautiful puppy she’s already named Lucky. Christy loves playing with Lucky and can’t wait to take him for walks. But on an outing to the woods, Lucky’s curious nature gets the better of him, and he runs off in search of adventure. Soon he is lost, frightened, and all alone. Will he ever be reunited with his beloved Christy?

Snippet: Aunt Nell smiled at her. “So, do you like your present?”

Christy looked up, confused.

Dad laughed and Mom smiled at her, then eyed Lucky meaningfully.

“Lucky? The puppy, I mean?” Christy stared at them all, her mouth falling open in surprise.

“I told you she’d already named him!” Aunt Nell said. “He’s always been the one Christy liked best. A lady wanted to choose him yesterday, Christy, but I told her he was reserved for you!”
