Dream Jar Publishing Call

The submissions page for Dream Jar Publishing says:

“AUTHORS: We are currently open for a limited submission opportunity. At this time, we are ONLY looking for chapter book or early middle grade stories (no more than 15,000 words) for one of our imprints below. The work must be complete, not a work-in-progress.”

The submissions form says: “We do not read full manuscripts for submissions, only review pitches and synopses. If one captures our attention and interest, we’ll reach out for the full manuscript.”

FYI: The Field of Dreams book announced on the Dream Jar Publishing homepage was co-written by Stacy B. Davids, one of my former students.

Synclaire Fields Knows the Score

The Kids in Mrs. Z’s Class: Synclaire Fields Knows the Score
by Olugbemisola Rhuday-Perkovich (Author) and Kat Fajardo (Illustrator)
@ Amazon | Bookshop

Booktalk: Synclaire Fields is the Math Kid in Mrs. Z’s class, getting perfect marks on every quiz and helping her classmates master tricky concepts. She especially loves demonstrating her skills at her parents’ store after school. Then she gets TWO ANSWERS WRONG on a math test, and … How can she be the Math Kid if she isn’t good at math anymore?

So Synclaire embarks on a quest to figure out what’s next. Maybe she’ll be a piano prodigy? A board-games whiz? A skating star? She likes some of these hobbies, but there’s one constant with every role: She seems to come back to math. Maybe, with the help of her friends in Mrs. Z’s class, she can still be the Math Kid after all?
