#kidlit Book of the Day blog

When I was a kid, I used to get in trouble for reading too much. Not anymore! Now I share my love of reading on blogs.

In 2005, I started blogging at LiveJournal. Then I moved to Blogger and Typepad. Several years later, I discovered WordPress.

In 2015, ten years after I started blogging, I figured out how to host WordPress on my own site! Hooray! Now I share a booktalk for a new #kidlit book five days a week.

What will you see on #kidlit Book of the Day?

I share books in all six children’s books formats:

  1. board books
  2. picture books
  3. beginning readers
  4. early chapter books
  5. middle grade books
  6. young adult books

I share books in all three genres:

  1. fiction
  2. nonfiction
  3. poetry

Want to send in a book for the blog?

Q. Will you share my new #kidlit book on your blog?
A. I love to share new #kidlit books with my readers!

Q. Can I send you a link or a PDF?
A. No. I’m blogging so I can donate hardcover books to a library in a low-income neighborhood (and they can’t circulate links, PDFs, or uncorrected proofs such as ARCs and galleys).

Ask your publicist to send the book to:
Anastasia Suen
7960 B Soquel Dr. #228
Aptos, CA 95003

Q. When will you blog about my new book?
A. I share books after they are launched. The blog post will also be shared on social media:

Q. Do you share every book that is sent to you?
A. Due to the volume of submissions, I cannot blog about every book that comes in. After I read the books I donate them to the library so your book will be shared whether it appears on the blog or not.

I am a bookstore affiliate for Amazon and Bookshop.

Bookshop is an online bookstore with a mission to financially support local, independent bookstores. By design, we give away over 75% of our profit margin to stores, publications, authors and others who make up the thriving, inspirational culture around books!

If you click on the name of one of these bookstores in a blog post, the link will take you to their site where you can purchase the book and read it! If you buy a book after clicking on these links, they will send me a small commission.

Please note, I was an IndieBound affiliate before Bookshop launched in January 2020. In 2023, Bookshop announced that “beginning March 1, IndieBound.org, the American Bookseller Association’s consumer-facing online bookselling and marketing platform, will switch to using Bookshop.org to handle sales and fulfillment.”

If you click on an Indiebound link from an older blog post, the announcement also says: “All buy buttons on bookstores sites or affiliated sites using IndieBound links will switch to Bookshop.org links.
