On QueryTracker, Ann Rose at Marsal Lyon says: “I will be closing to queries come September 1st. I’m a little behind, and I like to read each query and respond so I need to catch up!”
The directions on QueryTracker say: “Please include the query, a 1-2 page synopsis, and below there is a place for you to upload your sample pages of either 3 chapters or the first 30 pages whichever is more.”
Ann Rose’s MSWL says she is looking for: “YA of all genres: But especially stories that have heart and humor. I want you to transport me to new worlds–even if those ‘worlds’ are in the middle of Iowa. But especially if its fantasy, I really want you to take me there and show me something I haven’t seen before. And I really am looking for a strong fantasy novel–one that will surprise me.”
This agent is also a novelist! On her agency page, it says “Ann Rose began her career in publishing as a literary agency intern in 2014” and “When not agenting you’ll find her on her elliptical, sleeping, or writing her own novels . . .”
